On The COPPA Bullshit
Most of the people screaming about COPPA don't know that it has been flawed for a very long time.
It treats 11-12 year olds the same as 5 year olds, when they are in the same age group as 13 year olds in reality.
Our own Keznen member, Louise Kynders, is an example of why COPPA's treatment of 11-12 year olds is wrong. When we joined DeviantArt in November 2015, Louise was still 12, yet she still acted the most mature and level-headed out of all of us.
However, due to COPPA, she had to lie about her age until December 12th (her birthday) that year, or else we might have been unfairly banned just because of her age.
